Invasive Weeds

Invasive Weeds

Identifying Pest Plants

These plants have been identified as pest plants in our area. Left to grow, they spread rapidly and smother shrubs and trees or take over large areas of native bush.

If you have any of these weeds in your garden we advise you to remove them.

TUS aims to reduce invasive weeds in Titirangi

Weeds strangle our bush, crowd our natives and eventually lead to decline in reafforestation.

Our keen band of weedbusters are working to reduce weeds in our area. Once a month on a Sunday afternoon, our Weeding Team get together to work on an area of weeds.

If you would like to volunteer on a weeding bee, please contact Anja through the office email, admin@tus.nz with Weeding Volunteer in the subject line.

Eco Matters provides free jumbo bins several times a year to our residents to dump weed waste. Sign up for our newsletter or follow us on Facebook to be notified of the next dates.
